On February 20, 2024, the newly appointed Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Canada, Aleksandar Bogdanić, presented his letters of credence to Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada and thus assumed the position of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Canada. The ceremony of presenting the credentials was held at Rideau Hall, the official residence of the British monarch and his representative, the Governor General.

 After the ceremonial handing over of credentials, Ambassador Bogdanić spoke with the Governor General about the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada and the possibilities of expanding and deepening various forms of cooperation between the two friendly countries. The Ambassador thanked the Governor General for the help Canada provided and continues to provide to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the implementation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its path to membership in the European Union.
