At the Session of March 11, 2026, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the resignation of Aleksandar Bogdanić from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Canada and passed the Decision on discharge at personal request.

According to the decision, the term of the Ambassador ends on March 16, 2026, and until the appointment of a new ambassador, his duties will be performed by the chargé d'affaires appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of B&H.

The consular section of the Embassy of B&H Ottawa will continue to provide all consular services according to the regular procedure.
