Prijem_Ambasador_JapanaOn September 30th 2015 the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a reception in Ottawa for diplomats, representatives of ministries and agencies of Canada, partner organizations and citizens of BiH on the occasion of the completed renovation of the Embassy building. During her address, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada Koviljka Spiric expressed satisfaction with the presence of a large number of diplomats and representatives of Canadian institutions, as well as prominent citizens of Canada who are of BiH origin.

They, as she said, by their presence showed respect for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all that the BiH Embassy has been doingin Canada. Ambassador Spiric expressed her gratitude to the Embassy staff and all who have contributed to the extensive work so the renovation was completed successfully and that the embassy building now has a representative appearance. She also pointed out that the link between the country and Canada is extremely good and close primarily due to the vast BiH diaspora in Canada which enjoys a high reputation and respect. Also, she informed the assembly that the City of Ottawa has included the building of the Embassy of BiH in protected heritage.

The reception was attended by over 200 guests, ambassadors of all neighboring and regional countries, such as the ambassadors of Russia, Japan, Belgium, Turkey, Polish, Greece, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Tunisia, Head of the Delegation of the European Union, Canada, Director of State Protocol Canada, and many others.

During the reception, the tourist offerings of Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented, as well as the rich gastronomy and traditional music.
