Predaja_akreditiva_KovaAmbassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada Koviljka Spiric submitted letters of Credence to General Governor of Canada David Johnston. The official ceremony was held on 28 June 2014 in the Rideau Hall Official Residence and workspace. After the ceremony General Governor David Johnston received the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Koviljka Spiric in a separate conversation, during which they discussed relations between the two countries.

Governor Johnston said that Canada supports the democratic development of BiH, as well as the efforts which are being made to improve the lives and economic conditions of all BiH citizens. Johnston especially stressed the readiness of Canadian institutions to continue to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina in building its civil society and legal state, and that Canada will be involved with aid efforts after the catastrophic floods which hit our country.

Ambassador Spiric informed the Governor-General about the situation in BiH and said that she appreciated the assistance that Canada provides to our country in all aspects, especially through projects that have been implemented through the Agency for International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDA). Špirić also reminded that in the coming period she expects that economic relations between the two countries will improve and that Canada will support economic reform in BiH.
