Canada150_ambasadaBiHEmbassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in the event that marked 150 years of Canada held in the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne ParkCenter in Ottawa on 11th April 2017. The event was organized by the city of Ottawa and the ODA / Diplomatic Association of Ottawa /. In addition to the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, embassies of other 15 countries participated, including China, Argentina, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Panama, Macedonia and others.

Embassies had exhibition tables with food and other ethnic products from their countries, along with promotional tourist materials. Bosnia and Herzegovina presented a diverse range of souvenirs, handicrafts and illustrated brochures, which were symbolically presented cultural and other assets of the country. Visitors were particularly delighted with the appearance of the Amateur cultural and artistic society "Sevdah", which performed dances from different parts of of BiH dressed in traditional costumes.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Koviljka Spiric on this occasion thanked the BH community in Canada which has been a great support to numerous activities organized by the Embassy. It is also noted that the participation in this event BiH showed respect for the host country, which is respected by Canada.

This event, in addition to numerous visitors, was attended by the Mayor of Ottawa Jim Watson. He thanked all participants who marked the 150 years of Canada.
